Intro to Linear Equations in 2 Variables

A solution to a linear equation in 2 variables is an ordered pair (x,y) such that when the values for x and y are substituted in the equation, they make the equation true. Unlike linear equations in 1 variable, there are infinitely many solutions for a linear equation in 2 variables. Because there are so many solutions, the solutions must be plotted on a coordinate system.
