# Factoring Trinomials: x^{2}+bx+c

To factor a trinomial we use a method called “trial and error”, which is not as tough as it seems. There are only a handful of values that are possible to have in the factored polynomials, so we simply try them each one at a time to see if we can find the right combination that will give us our desired polynomial. Notice in these videos the leading coefficient is the number “1”, which makes factoring much easier.
