Direct Comparison Test

Many times infinite series almost look like a p-series, geometric series, etc. We can compare the original uglier series to a larger or smaller simpler series using inequalities that will reveal whether the original series converged or diverged. If a larger series converges, then the smaller series must converge. If a smaller series, then the larger series must diverge. *Be careful with the order of your inequalities – you cannot reverse these if/then statements.
