Curve Sketching: Introduction

Curve Sketching: Introduction

Curve sketching attempts to use everything we can find out about a given function to sketch the function without the aid of a calculator. The things we can discuss about a function include algebra topics (intercepts, asymptotes, domain, range,…) as well as calculus topics (increasing/decreasing intervals, critical points, extrema, concavity, points of inflection,…). We will take all of the information we found about a function and put it all together to construct a graph of the function.
